Getting started

Sessions

Most clients meet with with me individually on a weekly basis for a 60-minute session. This consists of 55 minutes of therapy and 5 minutes for rebooking and other organisational matters.

​

For established clients it is possible to set up Zoom sessions.

​​

Fees / Financial Support​

​

Current fee details are available upon request. 

​

EAP - Employer Assistance Program

If you are in employment, your employer may be offering financial support for short-term counselling (usually 2 - 6 sessions). Please enquire with your employer. I am contracted with EAP providers Telus Health and Clearhead.

​

WINZ - If you are eligible for a Disability Allowance, you can apply for financial support. Check the WINZ website for details.

Some health insurances cover the cost for psychotherapy / counselling.

​​

Payment

​​

Payment may be made in cash or via internet banking.

​​

Payment is due ON THE DAY of the session unless we have worked out an alternative agreement.

Cancellation

​​

I have a 24-hour cancellation policy. This means you will be charged the full fee for any missed session with less than 24-hour notice unless we are able to find another time WITHIN THAT WEEK to reschedule.

I will get back to you asap in order to get some basic information about what you are looking for. This is also the time for you to ask any preliminary questions you might have. A talk on the phone usually takes 10-15 minutes.

If you then decide to try out a session we will arrange an appointment.
